Car Crash Last Night in Susan Street

LAST night the Westpac Rescue Helicopter airlifted a 47 year old male to the John Hunter Hospital after a car rolled over in Scone.

The patient was taken to a park in Singleton by road ambulance due to weather conditions making it unsafe to land in Scone.

Police media unit can confirm that a there was a car accident in Susan Street in Scone and that a 47 year old was taken from the scene of the accident by ambulance.

Further details including that it may have involved a high speed chase and there were others involved are yet to be confirmed by police.

The investigation is ongoing.

UPDATE: Police have confirmed there was no police pursuit or other people involved in the accident. The 47 year old male driver failed to negotiate a turn and crashed into a telegraph pole.
