Covid-19 Closer to Home

ANOTHER four cases of covid-19 have been confirmed in the Hunter New England Health area, bring the total number of cases to 245.

UPDATE: This afternoon the Hunter New England Health area said there are an additional three confirmed cases, bringing the total to 248 in the area health service.

There are currently 10 people in hospital, five in intensive care and 76 people have recovered so far.

A 76 year old man who died on Saturday at Westmead Hospital, was a resident of the Hunter New England area and had been a passenger on the Ruby Princess.

Closer to home:

No new cases of covid-19 have been reported since Friday with numbers remaining as follows:

  • 1 case in the Scone area (2337)
  • no cases in the Aberdeen area (2336)
  • no cases in the Merriwa area (2329)
  • no cases in the Murrurundi area (2338)
  • 1 case in the Muswellbrook area (2333)
  • 3 cases in the Singleton area (2330)
