Funeral for Wayne Saunders

WELL known Sconeite Wayne Saunders passed away on Monday morning from prostate cancer.

Wayne owned and operated the successful car dealership, Saunders Mazda in Scone, which he began working in when he was 15 years of age.

He initially worked with his father Alister and later worked with his son Darren, who continued to run the business after Wayne retired in 2007.

Wayne was also a Vietnam veteran who served in the 12th field regiment as a gunner.

His funeral will be on Friday at 11am at St Luke’s Church, 79 Hill Street, Scone.
