BRAD Hazzard, New South Wales Minister for Health said we need to take extreme caution as the number of people infected with coronavirus in New South Wales continues to climb.

Minister Hazard said there are now 1,791 confirmed cases in the state, which is an increase of 174 new cases over the last 24 hours, there are 24 cases in ICU and there have been 8 deaths.

“We need to take extreme caution in many ways,” said Minister Hazard.

“Every single person in New South Wales should be behaving as if they have it…it will keep you and your loved ones safe,” he said.

“It is impacting massively on communities around the world and it is starting to impact in a way that no citizen in New South Wales or Australia could have dreamed of just two and half months ago,” he said.

“You must socially distance, you must,” Minister Brad Hazard said.

NSW police have issued 11 fines in relation to people not adhering to the laws on self-isolation and social distancing.
