Murrurundi Pipeline Installation

Filed in Just In by October 1, 2020
YESTERDAY the Upper Hunter Shire Council began installing the Scone to Murrurundi water pipeline, which will provide direct water tank connections to locals living in low pressure zones south of Wingen or north of the Warlands balance tank.

Residents will still be charged the same usage rates as the rest of the shire and are only eligible if the pipeline or if the pipeline runs through their property or if they live immediately adjacent to the pipeline.

Murrurundi’s water team will be installing the 25 planned connections, starting near Blandford.

The $14.2 million project has been jointly funded by the New South Wales Government’s Water Security for Regions program, who provided $13 million and the Upper Hunter Shire Council, who funded the remaining $1.2 million.

Eligible rural properties can still apply to be connected for a fee, by contacting Council on 6540 1100.
