New Saleyards Open for Inspection

ON Tuesday, the public will be able to tour the Scone saleyards and inspect the $11.8 million upgrades, which were undertaken in the last couple of years.

The government contributed $3million towards the project and local ratepayers contributed the remaining $8.4million.

The improvements include covered holding pens, shade sails, a new canteen and office, a range of animal welfare initiatives and new technologies.

Visitors will be able to attend the regular weekly cattle auction and holding pens, enjoy a BBQ and visit the trade stalls.

Council has asked people to register for the event through TryBooking.
