POLICE: Child Approached In Scone

YESTERDAY at approximately 8:40am, a 10 year old boy was riding his bike east on Liverpool Street, when a man sitting on the side of the footpath and approached the child.

The boy reported the incident to his school and police were alerted.

Police are appealing for assistance to identify a man approximately 70 years of age of Caucasian appearance, with brown eyes, who was last seen wearing a blue and white cap, a t-shirt, shorts and thongs.

Police are keen to speak to any witnesses or obtain any dashcam or CCTV footage from near the area.

Any person matching this description and was in the vicinty at this time is encouraged to speak with police.
