THE storm which tore through the Upper Hunter last night brought more wind than rain, with the Scone Airport recording wind gusts of 111 km per hour at 6:40pm and in Murrurundi 114 km per hour at 6:50pm.

The rainfalls recorded by the Bureau of Meteorology were between 10 and 15 ml, with heavier falls from the storms further south not reaching the Upper Hunter.

They predict more storm activity today, which will mainly be confined to the Ranges and tomorrow there is a slight chance of a storm, with showers likely.

Moving into Sunday things will progressively fine up.
