Veteran’s Golf: November 27

Thank you to Treasurer Bob Minch for organising the Christmas prizes and to Brian Dever for organising the shot-gun start for the 26 Vets who played a stroke and putting event at Aberdeen Golf Club on Tuesday, November 27.

Vice President Rod Upton who has been away for six weeks having medical treatment, won with nett 64 C/B from George Campbell 64 – both receiving gift cards and Doug Dowell 65 C/B 3rd, Robert Colbert 65 4th and Graham Turvey 66 5th – all Christmas foods.

Balls went to Ross Banks and Rod Auld 68, Jeff McKeon, Tommy Thompson and Bob Lawman 69 and Terry Mitchell, Peter Daunton, Elie Raad and Jock O’Connor 70.

The best scratch score was recorded by Ross Banks (75) and the putting wine, kindly donated by Aberdeen Recreation Club was won by Rod Auld with 27 putts.

The Bradman’s trophy, kindly donated by Gary Morley was won by Graham Boles.

Nearest the Pins: 4th Ross Banks  13th Terry Mitchell  16th Robert Colbert  9th/18th Terry Mitchell.
