Water Flows Closer to Villages

Filed in Just In by January 30, 2020

ON Tuesday, the Upper Hunter Shire Council has awarded the contract for village water reticulation systems to TDW Johnson for $250,855, taking the villages of Blandford, Wingen, Parkville, Middlebrook and Gundy a step closer to accessing the town water supply.

Initial designs are to be completed this year and the systems will be implemented in two separate phases:

1: Villages of Blandford, Wingen and Parkville – Council has received some grant funding for the reticulation systems.

2: Middlebrook and Gundy – which is yet to receive funding, but will be included in the reticulation design.

Council have said once the design is complete they will consult with the villages to fine tune budgets and consumer costs.
