Weather: The Week Ahead

TODAY the temperature is expected to reach 38 degrees and tomorrow 41 degrees, before a cold front moves through the Upper Hunter on Tuesday evening.

The cold front will drop temperatures on Wednesday to 36, but will bring south-easterly winds and the chance of a light shower and thunderstorms.

The winds in the Upper Hunter are not predicted to be as strong as towards the coast, with gusts here only expected to reach 40 to 50 km an hour.

While there will be a chance of light showers as the cold front moves through and for the rest of the week, it is only expected for bring 1 or 2 ml and there is the chance of thunderstorms which may not produce much rain, but lightening could start new fires.

  • Monday: 15 – 38
  • Tuesday: 20 – 41
  • Wednesday: 17 – 36
  • Thursday: 17 – 36
  • Friday: 16 – 27
  • Saturday: 14 – 28
  • Sunday: 13 – 31
