THERE is a trough in the south-east of the state pulling down warm north-westerly winds into the Upper Hunter.

There is a 20 percent chance of a thunderstorm in Scone tomorrow, with more chance of storms on the Range.

As the trough moves up towards the north-west the Hunter is in the zone to expect storms, however the Upper Hunter only has a 50 percent chance of storms and only a 25 percent chance of rainfall being more than 3 ml.

The temperatures will be hot with Wednesday 36 which cools down on Thursday due to cloud cover from the trough then back to the high 30’s on the weekend.
