Weather: The Week Ahead

Filed in Recent News by July 15, 2019

THE light rain during the weekend only brought 1 millimetre to some parts of the Upper Hunter.

Wind gusts of 60 km per hour on Saturday dropped down to gusts of 50km on Sunday, with light winds prevailing today.

There was a very light dusting of snow on the Barrington during the weekend and while there is colder weather predicted for the end of this week, the Bureau of Meteorology has predicted “practically zero” chance of snow as there won’t be enough moisture.

From today a high-pressure system is building and will slowly move through the Upper Hunter, bringing lower temperatures especially towards the end of this week.

Expected temperatures in Scone:

  • Monday: 9 – 16
  • Tuesday: 2 – 19
  • Wednesday: 1 – 16
  • Thursday: 3 – 17
  • Friday: 0 – 18
  • Saturday: 0 – 18
  • Sunday: 2 – 20
