Weather the Week Ahead

THERE will be notherly westerly winds today ahead of a change coming through in the late evening, with 50km an hour winds expected t funnel through the Hunter.

Tomorrow the temperature will be 37 degrees and there is a chance of dust from westerly winds coming over the ranges, before a southerly comes though.

The Bureau said to a expect dusty, hazy, smokey day tomorrow and the perfect conditions for any fires to spread quickly. 

Things will cool down on Wednesday, but Saturday the temperature will be 36 degrees, with winds turning to the north again and a hot weekend ahead.

Unfortunately there is no rain forecast.

Fires:

Fortunately there are no bush fires in the Upper Hunter Shire Council area at the moment. However, Rural Fire Services are warning people to brace themselves for the conditions tomorrow.

Yesterday, local rural fire services responded to a house fire in Merriwa on Tunbridge Road, unfortunately the home was lost and the cause of the fire is yet to be investigated.
