Weather: The Week Ahead

OVER the next couple of days the Bureau of Meteorology is predicting storms.

There is a trough in the area and tomorrow a stronger front will move through bringing more high impact weather.

A storm is possible today and tomorrow thunderstorms may be severe with strong gusts, which may pick up dust and there is a slight chance of hail.

Temperatures will be in the mid 30s for today and tomorrow, but on Wednesday winds are likely to shift south-easterly in the wake of the front and temperatures will drop to the highs 20s in the Upper Hunter.

There is a large fire at Gospers Mountain in the Putty area, which could continue to bring smokey conditions.

On Wednesday and Thursday it will be mostly sunny, with a trough slow moving over the central part of the state, bringing the chance of stormy weather on Friday and the weekend.

  • Monday: 16 – 33;
  • Tuesday: 18 – 34;
  • Wednesday: 12 – 28;
  • Thursday: 11 – 33;
  • Friday: 16 – 35;
  • Saturday: 17 – 33;
  • Sunday: 16 – 28.
