Weather: The Week Ahead

EX-tropical cyclone Esther is predicted to bring rain to the Upper Hunter this week.

The trough associated with the cyclone will bring moisture down across a significant part of the state and the Upper Hunter may see larger falls in the coming days.

The peak of the event is expected tomorrow, Wednesday and Thursday, with the heaviest falls predicted on Thursday in the Murrurundi area.

The system is still unpredictable so the amount of rain is difficult to predict at this stage, with the Bureau of Meteorology saying there is a 25 percent chance of between 5 to 10mm.
