Weather: The week ahead

A wet week ahead for the Upper Hunter, as the huge low pressure system continues to make its way down from the north coastline.

Cloudy conditions will remain and a possible shower or two expected today however, most of the rainfall will hit tomorrow with the Upper Hunter expected to receive between 20 and 30 millimetres.

Moisture from the system will also mean temperatures will continue to remain fairly high throughout the week.

Later in the week, another trough will come through from the south, picking up humidity and moisture from the low pressure system.

The trough combined with the fringes of the original pressure system will bring more showers, with a further ten to 15 millimetres of rainfall predicted on Friday.

The Glenbawn Dam is currently at  46.6 percent capacity.

A maximum temperature of 25 today in Scone.

  • Friday: 20-33

  • Sunday: 14-24
