THERE is a good chance of rain this weekend across most of the Upper Hunter, with an expected 15-20 millimetres to fall on Friday.
A low pressure system developing out of Western Australia is migrating east and will strengthen as it lines up with an upper trough in New South Wales, providing decent rainfall on Friday, Saturday and possibly Sunday.
Most rainfall will occur on Friday and then ease off, with only 5mm predicted for Saturday.
Depending on the strength and direction of the low pressure system, the Upper Hunter may also receive up to 10mm of rainfall on Sunday.
A maximum temperature of 19 in Scone today, with fog and frost in the morning and sunny conditions throughout the week, up until Friday.
