SAFE ‘n’ SOUND Self Storage are continuing their support for the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service, providing free storage units until 2023.

The new three-year agreement includes provision of storage facilities on the Central Coast, Newcastle, Hunter Valley and Port Macquarie, as well as a financial contribution to the Service’s operations.

Richard Jones, Westpac Helicopter Rescue Service CEO welcomed the continued support, as fundraising and event activity has significantly curtailed because of COVID-19.

“The Service regularly responds to a diverse range of missions throughout Northern NSW and this would not be possible without the continued support from generous corporate partners such as Safe ‘n’ SOUND Self Storage,” Mr Jones said.

“The partnership with Safe ‘n’ SOUND Self Storage will make a significant impact on the Westpac Rescue Helicopter, ensuring that the Service is ready to respond 24 hours per day, 7 days per week,” he said.

For nearly 20 years, Safe ‘n’ SOUND Self Storage have provided the free storage units and in 2019, began contributing financially to the Service, which resulted in the Safe ‘n’ SOUND’s Self Storage logo being placed on Service aircrafts.

Steve Wile, owner of Safe ‘n’ SOUND Self Storage, was pleased to be able to provide long-term support to the Service during uncertain times.

“The Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service plays a critical role in providing safety and support to locals in need and they are needed now more than ever,” Mr Wile said.

“Mindful of the challenges they are facing with fundraising, I felt it was important to provide a long-term commitment to the Service and in doing so, provide them with some certainty in these uncertain times,” he said.
