HUNTER Local Land Service veterinarians have praised farmers in the Upper Hunter for managing the health of their animals during one of the worst droughts in living memory.
THERE were light rainfalls across the Upper Hunter during the weekend with the following totals being recorded by the Bureau of Meteorology:
- Aberdeen: 8 ml
- Cassilis: 11 ml
- Merriwa: 15 ml
- Moonan: 16 ml
- Murrurundi: 10 ml
In the 24 hours until 9am this morning the Upper Rouchel recorded 15ml,
AT approximately 4:45am Fire and Rescue Merriwa were called to a car fire behind the IGA building.
