Triple Silver from Rome

SCONE fighter Lochlan Eadie has returned from Rome with three silver medals after representing Australian the World Pankration Championships.

Lochlan was the youngest member of the Australian team and said he was excited to compete on an international stage.

“Our preparation for the championships was good, but it was hard adjusting to the points system in the international system,” Mr Eadie said.

“I was only one point away from gold for all of the medals and it was a nervous wait for the judges decision,” he said.

“The experience has been great and I now have my sights set on competing in full MMA (mixed martial arts) in Australia and overseas,” Lochlan Eadie said.

Rod Eadie, coach and father of Lochlan said his achievement important in Lochlan’s career and also for other fighters at the academy.

“The Pankration Championships was great exposure for Lochlan and has inspired him to train hard for the next step in his career,” said Mr Eadie.

“He will begin fighting against some of the most respected mixed martial artists in Australia,” he said.

“Lochie is one of a growing pool of talent at our academy and everyone benefits when people are training to grow to the next level,” Rod Eadie said.
