Elderly Couple Assaulted: Call For Community Help

ON Sunday night at approximately 10pm, a man aged 84 and a woman aged 86 were putting their bins out in Guernsey Street, Scone when they were assaulted by an unknown woman, alleged police.

Police said the woman began yelling at them from across the road, then crossed and assaulted them.

The man was punched to the ground, kicked in the head and body and the alleged woman was pushed to the ground.

Both people were treated on scene for cuts, grazes and bruising, before being taken to Maitland Hospital in a stable condition.

Police are appealing for assistance from the public and urge anyone with any information, dashcam footage or CCTV from the area to contact Muswellbrook Police Station on 02 6542 6999 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
